The Esports Assistant and Head Coach oversees the daily operation of varsity esports teams, including but not limited to coaching, recruiting, social media, Discord management, and assisting in the development of marketing and communication materials for the Esports program. This position supports the Director of Educational Technology in the long-range planning and implementation of program strategies, including summer camp development, competitive game title selection, and tournament development.

Required:

  • One year of competitive Esports experience involving multiplayer online video games with team-based elements
  • Proven social media experience with Twitch/Discord/Twitter
  • Experience recruiting student-athletes and holding tryouts using a scoring rubric for player selection
  • Experience creating systems and guidelines to govern the daily functions of a team

Preferred:

  • Ability to manage and maintain all software and other equipment
  • Experience scouting other institutions to determine team strategies
