DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Performs usability research projects from start to finish and communicates findings with key stakeholders with actionable recommendations that tangibly improve the customer experience on nintendo.com and microsites.

  • Partners with UX Principal to define the long-term vision for user experience in Nintendo’s online universe, and evangelize the vision with web production, development, and creative design teams

  • Provides highly detailed UX artifacts (flows, wireframes, prototypes, specs, and related documentation) through a holistic lens of usability, research, customer feedback, site analytics, strategic importance, and business goals.

  • Critiques others’ creative work, offering direction for improving quality, consistency, or strategy

  • Drives innovation by closely watching industry trends, advocating industry standards that fit Nintendo’s use case, championing user-centric design principles, and pioneering innovative techniques and solutions.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a user experience, researcher or designer for the web

  • Understanding of information architecture, web accessibility, UI, interaction and visual design best practices, limitations and constraints of front-end presentation principals and browser limitations.

  • Ability to create wireframes and clickable prototypes with a variety of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.

  • Experience conducting independent research into usability such as usability test, card sorting, personas, tree stumps, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience creating user-centered design solutions, information architecture, wireframes, etc.

  • Understanding of the capabilities of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with design systems and branding guidelines.

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent
