DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Assists in the development of Nintendo’s component library.
  • Ensures that their work follows brand guidelines and is WCAG 2.0 compliant.
  • Researches, evaluates and analyzes technical and design requirements.
  • Prepares and presents technical documentation regarding Nintendo’s component library and design system.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of development tools, trends, and technologies.

SUMMARY OR REQUIREMENTS

  • Two or more years of experience in Front-end focused technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript (ECMAScript 6)
  • Experience building and maintaining a design system and/or component library on a large-scale production website is a plus
  • Experience with web libraries and frameworks such as React, LitElement (Web Components), or Angular
  • Experience working with GraphQL and RESTful APIs
  • Experience with Javascript testing frameworks such as Karma, Jasmine, or Mocha is a plus
  • Experience working with enterprise-level content management systems such as AEM, Magnolia, or Contentful is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with standard design software including Sketch, PhotoShop and Illustrator
  • Ability to rapidly prototype sites and components is required
  • Understanding of site performance and web accessibility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
  • Effective communication skills
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Design Technology, a related field, or equivalent
  • Formal training in standard programming languages
