DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Assesses available technologies to meet needs, and then define technical specifications and designs
  • Develops and modifies technology systems, addressing functional, performance, security, quality, operations and monitoring needs
  • Creates detailed test scenarios, performs testing and analyzes results
  • Provides support and troubleshooting of legacy technology solutions as well as scripting, test automation and test tools
  • Documents all tech changes through process flows, project documentation and other appropriate change control standards
  • Actively engages in ongoing process improvement as well as personal development
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Coordinates with internal and external groups on project management and short to long-term planning
  • Perform all job responsibilities in strict adherence to corporate prototype security policy and procedures
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external contacts
  • Provide Product Testing workforce with technical direction and understanding of the causes of technical problems

Bilingual

  • Accurately translate emails and documents, while providing cultural context
  • Performs written and verbal translations related to software development, including daily correspondence, design documents, and market research
  • Acts as a liaison with Japanese engineers/developers and coordinates on project planning
  • Travel up to 10%, domestic and international

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

  • Five plus years of SDET, development or related experience
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and relationship building skills, problem solving and cross-group collaboration
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
  • Experience in computer architecture skills for building highly scalable, fault tolerant systems (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of C#, WebAPI, Entity Framework, LINQ, Angular, SQL, git, and Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD technologies (Preferred)
  • Experience in testing large scale services, or performance/scale/stress (Preferred)
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent
  • Formal training in programming and/or electronics preferred
  • Valid passport required
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Project Management Certification (Preferred)

Bilingual

  • Two years of translation experience or related experience
  • Excellent understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette
  • Highly proficient in verbal and written communication in English and Japanese
  • Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 certification or equivalent capability
