DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Consistently delivers high-quality and performant code that sets standards
- Scopes and executes projects involving multiple engineers
- Effectively debugs complex problems
- Makes pragmatic design decisions identifying risks, trade-offs, and alternatives
- Performs complex design and implementation
- Identifies problems with requirements and helps course-correct around these issues
- Identifies and resolves dependencies impacting the team
- Analyzes existing processes and technologies for short-comings and makes recommendations for improvement
- Collaborates with peer groups at Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL) and its subsidiaries
- Provides coaching and mentorship to other engineers and is a key piece of the hiring process
- Up to 10% travel; domestic and international
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
- 5-8 years related experience
- Mastery of C# or equivalent
- Practical knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS applied with a framework like React or Angular
- Comprehensive knowledge of web application design, distributed/scalable computing design, and emerging technologies
- Comprehensive knowledge of software communication protocols like REST, Websockets, TCP and UDP, AMQP, etc
- Comprehensive knowledge of data storage paradigms and their application in SQL, No-SQL, and blob
- Experience configuring cloud hosted solutions in AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent
- General knowledge of real-time interactive platform technologies and industry related trends
- Demonstratable track record of production delivery
- Highly proficient in their domain and knowledgeable in diverse technologies
- Experience with streaming technology a plus
- Fluency in Japanese a plus
- BS or MS in engineering or equivalent
- Valid passport may be required
