DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Leads the retail sales analytics and insights team for Nintendo of America including managing and developing a team of Customer Business Analysts. Responsible for providing strategic consultation on sales and industry trends and for delivering actionable insights that drive retail results
  • Educates and informs the Sales team on retail trends through sales analytics and shopping insights and provides recommendations that shape the key customers go-to-market strategies
  • Works with team of analysis to create and present compelling, data-based narratives to internal teams
  • Develops allocation and distribution strategies utilzing customer strengths, respective consumer bases and performance during product lifecycle
  • Leverage internal / external experts and touchpoints to develop holistic insights and strategies
  • Supports Nintendo Sales through analysis of sales and syndicated data to measure product and retailer performance and identifies best practices
  • Monitors retail trends and pulls key insights for presentation to internal senior management and works in conjunction with supervisor to leverage for application throughout the organization
  • Apply foreast models and predictive analytics to analyze sales potential and provide input to demand forecasts and plans
  • Works in conjunction with the sales team to model promotional lift of sales programs
  • Collaborates with Retail Marketing, Consumer Marketing and Sales Planning Sales Administration, Business Planning and Marketing on company initiatives
  • Supports sales activities with analysis, reports, and presentations
  • Partners with Category Management to provide insight and determine impact of merchandising changes
  • Oversees translating market-level sales goals into retail specific
  • Works closely with sales leadership to produce ad hoc reports and presentations across strategic and tactical opportunities
  • Identifies and develops sales opportunities and creates presentations to benefit from opportunities

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of seven years relevant work experience
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in CPG industry using syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, NPD)
  • Experience managing a staff
  • Two or more years of experience presenting analysis/category management recommendations to retailers
  • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Expert in excel and data mining skills
  • Worked in or supported a multi-functional department
  • Business Objects, Microsoft Access and/or relational database experience a plus
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or a related field
