Description Of Duties
- Position Nintendo as a world-class entertainment company by extending the reach of Nintendo characters and worlds through retail partnerships. Responsible for creating, managing and delivering strategic retail programs that grow the licensed merchandise and video game accessory business and enhance the consumer retail experience with the Nintendo brand, products, and services.
- In partnership with the Director of Partner Marketing and Retail develop and manage strategic retail programs for Nintendo licensed merchandise and video game accessories.
- Collaborates with external partners to amplify the Nintendo brand and consumer experience through licensed Nintendo products and experiences.
- Expands retail programs and opportunities, leveraging the full suite of Nintendo products, services, and experiences through collaboration with internal software/hardware retail and sales teams.
- Contributes to overall retail program strategy.
- Creates retail opportunities for domestic programs and seeks to expand the global distribution and sales of licensed Nintendo products.
- Creates, plans, and executes retail specific tactics for licensed Nintendo products.
- Collaborates with Business Development and Product Development teams, as well as other internal stakeholders across the organization, to extend partner distribution channels, special collections, and consumer engagement with licensed products.
- Supports global licensed product teams to ensure strategic and coordinated retail program executions and consumer experience.
- Analyzes market dynamics and consumer shopping behavior to formulate recommended action plans and solutions to drive consumer demand in partnership with retailers.
- Analyzes sales results and partner opportunities to expand distribution and sales of Licensed Nintendo products.
- Works with Nintendo owned and operated retail channels for licensed product distribution and sales.
- Manages asset approvals and related process in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- May lead, develop and mentor teams; create an environment where opportunities encourage employees to develop new capabilities and maximize growth.
- Up to 25% travel, domestic and/or international
Summary Of Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in retail program development and execution
- Video game and merchandise business knowledge preferred
- Prior experience building brands and developing a new business unit
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field
- Valid passport may be required
