DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Provides bilingual editorial support for game text, scripts, manuals, packaging, and other materials
- Edits in-game text, manual text, package copy, game summaries, and other materials as needed
- Edits text and makes recommendations regarding grammar, spelling, style, voice, content, and consistency
- Researches franchise history and fact-checks content
- Creates and maintains department style guides
- Proofreads manuals and packaging
- Identifies game content that may require revision to better suit the tastes of consumers (Latin American)
- Provides feedback on game difficulty and appeal in Latin American market
- Maintains awareness of game industry in Latin America market
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of two years related experience or professional editing certification
- Undergraduate degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience
- Excellent Spanish and English translation skills, including two to four years specific translation experience
- Native fluency in Spanish
