NTD seeks an individual that will improve the quality of everything that we deliver, which includes the system software and tools which enable developers to deliver their games on Nintendo platforms such as Nintendo Switch.

Description Of Duties

  • Provide technical leadership to SDET group to improve quality of all products, services and SDK components delivered by NTD
  • Scopes and stages work into well-defined milestones, delegating work effectively and provides reliable timeline estimates based on available resources
  • Owns test frameworks and strategies that can be adopted by development teams
  • Performs comprehensive technical reviews, delivering specific, constructive feedback
  • Identifies and clears roadblocks to optimize SDET group output
  • Drives development of technology roadmap and architecture for SDET group
  • Identifies opportunities to improve SDET group’s productivity, skills and work product
  • Collaborates with peer groups at Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL) and its subsidiaries
  • Provides leadership, coaching, guidance and mentorship to all members of the group (whether directly supervising them or not). Contributes to career development of others, identifying areas for focus and improvement
  • Serves as liaison and adviser to management on project status, needs, and areas of escalation
  • Plays a significant role in evaluating talent and representing the company to candidates
  • Up to 10% travel; domestic and international

Summary Of Requirements

  • 8+ years related experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Nintendo products
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software testing methodologies and software quality assurance processes
  • Strong ability to communicate technical vision to the SDET group and to internal customers
  • Solid understanding of embedded software/hardware design, application software design and emerging technologies
  • Mastery of C, C++, C# or equivalent
  • BS or MS in engineering or related field
  • Valid passport
