DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Lead a team of engineers in developing GPU Tools, including a GPU Debugger and a GPU Profiler, for Nintendo's platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for application development, and will lead the team in development of tools that will help developers debug and profile the graphics in their applications.
Scopes and stages work into well-defined milestones, delegating work effectively and provides reliable timeline estimates based on available resources
Owns code base, coding standards, hardware solutions, test frameworks and strategies for GPU Tools
Performs comprehensive technical reviews, delivering constructive actionable feedback
Identifies and clears roadblocks to optimize team output • Contributes to development of technology roadmap and architecture for GPU Tools
Contributes to and defines development workflow and systems for the GPU Tools
Identifies opportunities to improve team’s productivity, skills and work product
Collaborates with peer groups at Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL) and its subsidiaries
Provides leadership, coaching, guidance and mentorship to all members of the team (whether directly supervising them or not). Contributes to career development of others, identifying areas for focus and improvement
Serves as liaison and adviser to management on project status, needs, and areas of escalation
Plays a significant role in evaluating talent and representing the company to candidates
Up to 10% travel; domestic and international
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
8+ years related experience
Passion for creating GPU Tools
Experience with graphics (OpenGL, Vulkan, D3D)
Comprehensive knowledge of Application Development
Mastery of C, C++, C# or equivalent •
Experience with WPF, or other GUI frameworks, is a plus
Experience with GPU Tools (RenderDoc, RGP, GPA, PIX) is a plus
BS or MS in engineering or equivalent • Valid passport may be required
