DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Work with stakeholders define requirements, use-case scenarios, and design goals of projects
  • Translate design concepts and business requirements into user stories, user journeys, storyboards, process flows, and wireframes that lead to intuitive user experiences optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
  • Perform foundational UI design activities, including: translate wireframes into prototypes and design mockups that leverage a user-centered design approach, conform to style guides, and implement advanced interactive prototypes
  • Arrange and lead ideation sessions
  • Perform competitive research and analysis to include in design recommendations
  • Present design concepts and deliverables to stakeholders
  • Deliver detailed design specs to developers
  • Assist with usability testing and other forms of research to understand user needs and evaluate design concepts.
  • Create and incorporates results from user tests
  • Keep abreast of the latest changes in industry standards
  • Up to 10% travel; domestic and international possible.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of experience in UX design, UI design, or in a related area
  • Strong background in Graphics Design
  • Solid understanding of UX design methodologies and best practices
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
  • Proficiency with interface design and prototyping tools (e.g., Axure, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Framer X)
  • Must be detail-oriented and focused on user needs
  • Artistic background, especially color and composition skills
  • Previous work on complex desktop software is a plus
  • BA or MA in HCI, social sciences, or related field
