We are looking for a highly motivated Payroll Administrator. This position will be involved in a variety of activities including, but not limited to, processing payroll, identifying processes, operational and system improvement recommendations, and their subsequent implementation.

Niantic's Finance team ensures that the company succeeds in a driven market by working cross-functionally to keep the business running efficiently.

The Payroll Administrator will possess analytical skills, be self-motivated with the ability to identify issues and provide solutions. The successful candidate is a competent individual with integrity, accountability, interpersonal skills, and a great teammate.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for 900+ employees.

  • Implement garnishment orders according to statutory requirements.

  • Process off-cycle manual checks and adjustments as the need arises.

  • Liaise with HR to manage employee records and various employment events.

  • Assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filing and related documentation.

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in taking care of payroll information.

  • Respond to various payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Run ad hoc reports as requested by management and business partners.

  • Book payroll journal entries and monthly accruals.

  • Perform month-end payroll and compensation-related balance sheet accounts reconciliations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.

  • Required in-office 2 days on Monday and Wednesday.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recent US payroll administration experience.

  • Experience with Workday preferred.

  • Technical and comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes, calculations, and reporting requirements.

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Efficient task prioritization and time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.

  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.

The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $85,000 - $100,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
