We are a full-service Esports platform that creates, manages and monetizes white label competitive video game leagues. We build a title’s competitive community from the ground up, growing it into a unique, professional and world-class Esports operation. We manage all league operations and produce s-rank live entertainment in-studio or at stadium-sized venues. We deliver monetary results by authentically translating our publishers’ and brand sponsors’ business outcomes to this massively diverse community.

Reports To: In-Game Production Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This position is the perfect blend of tech innovation, creative development, and production leadership in the Esports ecosystem. In this role, you will be functioning as an operator and leader on Esports productions and also a creative developer of the Esport’s in-game experience. You will work to design and build broadcast processes and workflows that will captivate audiences and capitalize on storytelling opportunities. You will pioneer new tools and technology that will innovate the in-game experience of our live broadcasts. You will be a leader on the production line ensuring processes and workflows are executed at the highest level possible and working alongside a talented team impacting the games and communities we love with the clearest and most compelling narratives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside a team of passionate gamers and creative developers to actively shape the future of online Esports entertainment
  • Work with a team of visionaries to create new storytelling strategies and in game visual elements
  • Manage and grow a large distributed team via sourcing and managing independent contractors, and/or project based employees
  • Organize and manage multiple teams both locally and remotely, providing direction and guidance
  • Have the ability to work seamlessly with outside vendors while cultivating new relationships regularly
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, potential clients, independent contractors, and NGE employees on all aspects of the in-game broadcast experience
  • Communicate project information to all internal teams and production partners.
  • Work with creative producers and project stakeholders to craft an original viewing experience geared toward specific gaming audiences and demographics
  • Work alongside a team to create show and player storylines to fuel an in-game experience that has a strong narrative core that is cultivated and clean, unless otherwise mandated by the client
  • Work with the other production team departments to create and cultivate new ways to capture and experience Esports
  • Consult with project leads from production and post-production to marketing and sales of games, services, and events
  • Continuously iterate upon, discover, and craft in-game camera philosophy and storytelling best practices and techniques. “Become the master and sculptor of the story you seek to tell.”
  • While capturing all levels of gameplay, develop thematic visuals and utilize storytelling devices, in order to capture the most important and meaningful moments. Articulate these storytelling choices and decisions to other team members to ensure efficient communication is achieved
  • Create flowcharts, docs, spreadsheets, and presentations to map out workflows, systems, reports, tests, and discoveries. These will need to be visually stunning and logically structured for the highest impact
  • Operate as a Game Director and/or Game Producer on shows as needed/assigned.
  • Stay up to date on gamer info and relevant communities
  • Fanatically deliver the best fan experiences possible
  • Other tasks as assigned by managers and leads

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Experience: Experience with working production projects. (2-4 years)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for 8 hours. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Previous experiences that show the ability to be singularly accountable for tasks/projects and the capacity to lead initiatives given.
  • Ability to coach/mentor less experienced team members
  • Advanced soft skills in communication, teamwork, adaptability, problem solving, work ethic, time management, etc.
  • Ability to push the bounds of their field and drive it forward with innovative ideas.
  • Ability to thrive and take charge in ambiguity
  • Ability to work through large problems without managerial support
