Essential Functions

  • The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Engineering Team, which requires an experienced Broadcast Engineer with an extensive background in Information Technology, Cloud Technology, and Broadcast Engineering. The position is responsible for managing and leading the development and execution of strategies, implementing technical solutions for NGE Broadcast Facilities, as well as managing the technical internal staff. The position requires exceptional technical experience, business acuity, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Convey technical information and suggest well thought out technical solutions to problems are paramount to the role of Engineering Manager.
  • Guide NGE leadership on strategies and architectural design, proactively addressing the needs of the client to consistently meet or exceed defined requirements.
  • Analyze performance and generate reports for the team and executive management.
  • Manage and provide leadership to the Engineering department.
  • Execute projects in a timely and service-oriented manner.
  • Assisting the Project Managers and Account Managers from a technical and equipment point of view.
  • Using your strong knowledge and interpersonal skills to suggest and guide other teams towards the best technical solution for any given requirement.
  • Create wire drawings that depict how camera and audio inputs are organized and will be set up.

YOUR BONA FIDES

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution would be great.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7+ years' experience in working as a Broadcast Engineer or Technical Manager in television, video post-production, system's integrator or digital media organization.
  • Relevant industry experience or a strong interest in entering the event industry.
  • Excellent understanding of technical equipment with a drive to learn new or unfamiliar systems.
  • Ability to work logically and systematically.
  • Problem Solving; ability to think strategically and implement robust, stable solutions.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Passion for video games, interactive media and technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of what things cost, who supplies them and how long they take.
  • A track record of excelling with little supervision.
  • Experience performing and leading in multiple departments in high growth environments.
  • The desire for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office productivity software (Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google applications (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar).
