SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Quality Assurance Tester is responsible for testing all features, functionality, and localization of the assigned games. This includes performing scripted and ad hoc test cases, documenting any game errors that exist in the code, analyzing and reviewing discrepancies, and verifying fixes are implemented.

Currently, all Nexon staff are working remotely. Hybrid work model will be in place once we resume on-site operations currently scheduled for 2022.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform focused creative testing based on assigned test cases to provide feedback on gameplay-related issues and identify game defects.
  • Report game defects, including complete steps, identification of root cause, and expected results into appropriate bug tracking software.
  • Regress previously identified issues in order to verify defects have been addressed and are no longer occurring.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of game testing experience preferred
  • Console game testing experience preferred
  • Compliance/Console submission experience preferred

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of testing procedures and methods

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management, organizational and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Good mix of analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools and processes
  • Demonstrate ability to take direction from managers and provide feedback to the team
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Experience or knowledge of free-to-play games a plus
  • Experience or knowledge of multiplayer console games a plus
  • Passion for gaming
