NETGEAR is seeking a highly motivated individual to market NETGEAR’s portfolio of products and solutions throughout the CE Region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). The Marketing Manager will be responsible for project management, implementation, execution and performance tracking of NETGEAR’s consumer, commercial and channel marketing campaigns intended to increase brand visibility, product awareness and grow revenues. The role will team with the CE sales teams across both consumer and commercial business units and work closely with the global corporate marketing team.

Responsibilities include advertising, online marketing, promotions, email marketing, lead generation campaigns, search engine marketing, social media, public relations and events. This role manages external relationships including advertising and PR agencies, media buying agencies, freelancers, content partners, other 3rd party vendors and channel partners.

Summary:

As a part of the NETGEAR Sales team, the Ecommerce Account Manager will manage day to day operations of the NETGEAR relationship with our Ecom Channel excl. Amazon. They will oversee the sale of NETGAR’s product lines on all our key Online partners. This role will be responsible for continually monitoring NETGEAR’s product lines and be fully responsible for merchandising, promotions, inventory, product launches, product strategy, marketing, forecasting, financial metrics, negotiations, and all digital management tools.

The ideal candidate needs strong communication skills (German and English) and is highly detailed and organized. In a dynamic environment, they need to be proactive, flexible, have strong time management and business skills and can balance many projects simultaneously with short deadlines for completion.

This position also coordinates with internal stakeholders (sales, finance, supply chain, and marketing) to make sure all information is accurate and approved as well as consistent with NETGEAR overall value proposition and key messages for its products. Regularly communicates with worldwide sales and marketing teams so that they remain well informed with new product availability and new product introduction plans.

Specific Responsibilities:

SALES & INVENTORY

  • Work with Sales Management and FP&A in reviewing POS trends, forecasts, and marketing programs to maximize sales profit of small and medium business product lines (including backend and front end analysis)
  • Analyse Daily Sales, Inventory and Promo Data for SMB products
  • Analyse Weekly Sales reporting and develop key tactical and strategic insights at an Account level

NPI/EOL DELIVERY

  • Analyse NPI roadmap and coordinate Asset distribution and page setup, transition widgets, correct asset identification, and any other associated NPI work to launch deadlines
  • Develop NPI launch strategies and goals

NETGEAR Online Store

  • Manage the Netgear own online store for Germany via our external service partner
  • Site development, product content, pricing and promotion strategy, link to Netgear.de site to generate sales to end customers. Develop an excellent shopping experience and high service level to grow our direct customer relationship

MERCHANDISING

  • Evaluate and Action Monthly Merchandising audits of ecommerce pages to ensure perfect brand execution for 100’s of skus
  • Seek to understand product range through attending WW product calls and actively seeking information to better understand the NETGEAR offering

PRICING & PROMO

  • Work with global Product Management/Marketing group to prepare our Ecom SMB Product Pricing Strategy
  • Coordinate with Sales leaders to ensure the most effective and profitable promo strategies are executed

Account Relationships

  • Develop and manage relationships with buyers, merchants, inventory managers, and category leaders
  • Develop plans and negotiate programs to increase sales profitably
  • Fully understand the competitive environment within assigned accounts and develop the appropriate plans to the be category leader
  • Create proposals, negotiate agreements, and maintain a strong overall relationship with customer.
  • Interface with other departments, both internally and externally, as needed to support customer accounts and resolve any issues that may arise.

Finance

  • Understand how to develop and maintain a P&L ledger for the Ecom channel internally, be able to forecast future budgets and execute a plan to maximize sales within the budget

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Understanding of networking products or capability to learn
  • Experience with marketing communications processes
  • Evidenced desire to continuously learn and improve knowledge and skill level
  • Ability to coordinate and lead initiatives and people
  • Comfortable supporting, collaborating and presenting to the most senior levels of leadership and demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships
  • Comfortable with ambiguity while motivated to reduce its impact on the business
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, highly-matrixed, rapidly changing environment
  • Creative thinker with analytical ability and some knowledge of networking, PCs and home entertainment related products
  • Ability to comprehensively understand data and process elements, sources and relationships
  • Advanced Excel – Pivot Tables, Grouping, Data Validation, Vlookup and Basic Macros are essential
  • Excel VBA or Tableau experience preferred

Education/Experience:

  • BS or equivalent, Business, Accounting or Technical Marketing
  • Sales, Process, Accounting, Marketing or Project focused background preferred
  • Work experience in Advanced excel functions as part of a wider role is preferred
