Netflix is looking for an experienced Live Service Analyst to join the Netflix Game Studio to help deliver the next generation of video games to a worldwide audience. This role is a part of the Live Services team and will be responsible for influencing, and executing our engagement-focused analytics approach used to provide product and portfolio analysis to game teams and leadership alike. The Live Service Analyst will also deliver reports and analyses that measure the value of games content in the broader context of the Netflix service and our competition.

The ideal candidate will provide market intelligence and portfolio analysis that will help game developers within Netflix’s portfolio design and live operate their games for an optimal subscriber experience however they choose to play. The role will drive a deep understanding of the competitive market for high-engagement feature design and live service programs, develop and fine-tune unique metrics to evaluate game and portfolio performance on a global subscription service. This role will regularly work with a cross-functional organization at Netflix including Game Studios Product Management, Game Strategy and Analysis, Data Science & Engineering, and Game Developers.

  • Partner with the Data Science & Engineering team to develop our data analytics infrastructure for the ongoing management of games on the service

  • Provide the data analysis through to how it is visualized and presented for the purpose of tracking the overall health of our Live portfolio with attention to the overall story we are telling

  • Deeply understand the Free-to-play and live service-driven game categories across various platforms with a heavy focus on mobile, delivering strong competitive analysis of game designs and live service programs that generate excellent, long-term player engagement

  • Execute and influence our strategy related to metric and analytical structure for the Netflix Game Service to measure the value of game content and engagement

  • Deliver ongoing market intelligence across the mobile games industry and subscription-based products in gaming


  • Experience in the Free-to-Play gaming industry on mobile

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics across gaming OR e-commerce, subscriptions, digital platforms, entertainment, or an otherwise comparable industry

  • Expertise in Tableau as a BI platform as well as other data applications (eg - Power BI, Excel, SQL, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to translate complex data models into visualizations that effectively tell the story of how games at Netflix are performing

  • Modeling and forecasting capabilities specifically building from the ground up on game specific and portfolio-wide

Bonus Skills

  • 7+ years experience in data analysis, modeling, and presentation in comparable fields

  • Experience doing deep-dive analysis of games, ideally mobile games, or similar digital consumer products (eg - subscriptions, streaming, etc.)
