Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a KITKAT Gaming Social Media & Community Manager to join our social media team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the global social media channels for KITKAT Gaming, developing and implementing a cohesive and cutting edge social strategy as well as being an expert on creative content and paid, owned and earned social media as well as influencer activity. This is a rare opportunity to lead the growth for not only KITKAT but for our Nestlé brands in the gaming space.

A day in the life of...

Ultimately, you will be responsible for effectively growing our global KITKAT brand on social media in gaming communities, across multiple platforms, through the development and delivery of social content. Delivering world-class community engagement, supporting our overall business objectives and social content strategy.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Create and deliver professional and engaging social content that drives KITKAT social media equity and positive share of voice and leverage consumer engagement opportunities within the gaming community online.
  • You’ll be responsible for being the voice of KITKAT to the players, while representing the voice of players to our Content Studio. Responsible for developing social campaigns that really add value.
  • Support and execute the social community strategy and direction, informed by the brand objectives and insight, working closely with the wider Social Media and Brand teams.
  • Understand the changing consumer landscape in gaming and champion the social consumer, providing recommendations and thought leadership to the wider business, particularly our Brand owners, Digital and eCommerce.
  • Create and execute new ways to deliver messaging through social media content with gaming communities. Working closely with our in-house Content Studio team.
  • Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and more! Responding and engaging with influencers, consumers and fans, working with internal stakeholders to execute flawlessly.
  • Identify, engage and nurture brand advocates and influencers.
  • Identify and react in a timely nature to tactical opportunities.
  • Support & execute strong brand partnerships & sponsorship opportunities, leading this relationship on social.
  • Support the proactive management of observed emerging issues, working with our Zone teams to shape and protect KITKAT.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to determine the most impactful content.
  • Own paid social media and work with our paid media agency and social media partners to deliver best in class social media campaigns.

You will be a social media expert and forward thinking in exploring new ways of working. You’ll have experience in the gaming industry and be knowledgeable with industry language, platforms and key influencers. You’ll thrive when working with complex stakeholder groups across all levels coupled with your ability to understand our business from a commercial standpoint. It goes without saying you’ll have fantastic communication skills and understand how your decisions impact our wider business strategy.
You’ll also:

  • Demonstrate experience in the gaming industry.
  • Be passionate about social media and community management.
  • A creative thinker, who is confident leading brainstorms and developing social content concepts that effectively deliver on campaign objectives.
  • Have a creative eye for video and design as well as being passionate about creating engaging content that delivers for our brand.
  • Have experience of managing social communities for brands with a key focus on community engagement working across all social platforms.
  • Be familiar with trending content to understand how your brand can be involved whilst maintaining relevance to your audience.
  • Have a proven track record of creating engaging content including copy and be able to showcase your portfolio of work during the interview process.
