WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nerd Street Gamers (NSG) product offering includes facilities, event management, and broadcast production with an underlying software framework that ties it all together. In short, we’re helping to build the infrastructure of esports, and Camp Localhost will be an important part of the puzzle. Camp Localhost is responsible for year-round esports programming dedicated to growing the physical, mental, and social aspects of the individual to help develop a well-rounded individual player. NSG is looking for a Camp Coach focused on its online initiatives that will be the face of each camp and responsible for ensuring each camp runs smoothly and is a fun, educational experience for campers and staff.
WHAT WE EXPECT
- Lead and work with a team of two to three counselors
- Instruct and execute day-to-day operations of the camp facility, including following a predetermined curriculum
- Oversee practices to improve the camper’s skills
- Assist campers by way of gaming PC setups, guiding campers on up-to-date gaming strategies, and assisting campers with team-building exercises
- Daily reporting for the Camp Director with feedback on the day’s activities
- Ensure that all institutional, as well as any esports organizational policies and procedures, are adhered to and complied with
- Attend all camp sessions
WHAT WE LIKE TO SEE
- Computer gaming or programming experience required
- Must possess a high school degree or equivalent
- Prior experience working with children ages 12-18 is a plus
- Background clearance required
- High energy, positive attitude with a “can do” mentality
- High-level knowledge on Rocket League
