As Revenue Manager, your primary duties are related to capturing sales and in-game customer activity data, summarization, analysis, and revenue recognition calculations in order to report the company’s revenue in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS rules. In this role, you are responsible for revenue recognition decisions and calculations of the retail and wholesale transactions on a monthly basis.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team and with the Systems Manager to collect accurate and timely monthly sales data for retail and wholesale and monthly in-game customer activity data (activations of game licenses, coin usage, time consumption for subscriptions, auction fees, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence of new products data reports, testing data integrity and approving deliverables,
  • Provide verification of business intelligence data for reasonableness and completeness,
  • Perform summarization, filtering and sorting of monthly data and analysis of monthly sales and activity in preparation of revenue calculation,
  • Calculate average selling prices of various products,
  • Maintain unit counts of monthly sales and unit counts of utilization as well as maintain inventory of virtual currencies on hand and un-activated licenses,
  • Maintain revenue recognition data calculations and work papers,
  • Perform calculations and reconciliations of deferred revenue accounts on a monthly basis,
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing groups in preparation for the new product launches, determining revenue recognition policy for new product offerings and documenting the requirements for information needed for new revenue recognition matters,
  • Document company policy on revenue recognition for all products
  • Conduct technical research of new revenue rules (GAAP and IFRS) and their application to the company’s products,
  • Prepare all data for quarterly and annual audits in the revenue area,
  • Project monthly short-term revenue,
  • Manage the weekly report of sales,
  • Manage and review accounts receivable and billing,
  • Assist the Finance team in long-term revenue budgeting and forecasting,
  • Responsible for financial reporting system of revenue related data and working on projects to improve revenue and sales reporting capabilities and further automation of data gathering and calculations of revenue,
  • Accounting for intercompany sales and related intercompany margins,
  • Responsible for consolidation of US entities and consolidation with UK for revenue accounts
  • Provide revenue related information to other departments when needed,
  • Participate in a regular timely closing process of the accounting department for the assigned accounts,
  • Compute statistical calculation for user life analysis and apply to revenue recognition entries,
  • Design and organize the revenue processes and systems to accommodate the release of new products and company’s expansion plans.
  • Other general accounting responsibilities:
    • Ad-hoc projects related to the functions of the Accounting department,
    • Evaluate existing processes and practices and propose realistic initiatives for streamlining and improving quality of assigned tasks,
    • Participate in the projects undertaken by the Accounting management to improve accounting functionality, monthly closing process and timeliness and accuracy of accounting for operating expenses.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with knowledge of GAAP,
  • CPA license and prior audit experience preferred,
  • High level of accuracy on large excel workpapers and large data sets,
  • Proficient technical knowledge of Microsoft Excel at the expert level (including pivot tables, power BI) and understanding of report writers and databases,
  • Understanding of databases, ability to analyze large data sets, ability to create queries and reports, prior experience with reporting programs (e.g., Tableau, Crystal, etc.),
  • Good time management, strict adherence to deadlines, organization skills, and efficiency,
  • Superior oral and written communication skills,
  • Ability to adapt to fast changing business needs and work cohesively with other accounting team members.
