Position Description:

This position will be responsible for helping run the league and player operations functions of the NBA 2K League.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist in crafting player and team requirements and guidelines
  • Draft and revise competition ruleset and operations manual
  • Create the league schedule and matchups
  • Liaise with 2K on gameplay and the development of the League game build
  • Assist in designing and executing talent identification system, including player contracting process
  • Design and execute on player development initiatives
  • Investigate and adjudicate on player discipline matters
  • Engage with players and solicit feedback on League matters
  • Maintain dialogue with NBA 2K League Competition Committee regarding league structure
  • Serve as consultant to teams on esports operations
  • Be at the forefront of new esports industry developments
  • Maintain relationships with leading esports organizations

Required Experience & Knowledge:

  • 2+ years of experience at an eSports/gaming, Entertainment or Sports company
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Strong time management, verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience with other eSports or traditional sports leagues, particularly in league development
  • Relationships throughout esports community (teams, leagues, service providers)
  • Familiarity in major eSports titles
  • Passion for the game of basketball
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Educational Background Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
