Naughty Dog is looking for an experienced Wardrobe Sourcer to help us source wardrobe for upcoming game characters.
We’re looking for someone to source, organize, and maintain all character costumes and wardrobe for production. This person partners closely with the Art Director and Character team to ensure the garments meet all the concept specifications and fit the model/mannequin for proper game scanning.
Oversee the wardrobe department for our Video Game studio’s wardrobe department ensuring all garments are properly cared for
Partner with Art Director, Character Leads/Principals to select, purchase, rent appropriate clothing for fitting and scanning
Determine what clothing styles are appropriate based on concept art for each character ensuring the right clothing items are available for the garment scan
Manage the budget for the wardrobe department, keep track of expenditures and submitting reports to the Art Director or Producer as needed
Maintain a detailed inventory of all wardrobe items, including size, color, style, and condition
Help talent or mannequins get dressed and fitted for scanning, making sure their clothing fit all the aesthetic specification of the concept art
Assist with fitting for new garments, altering them as needed to ensure perfect fit
Return rented or borrowed items to appropriate vendors in a timely and undamaged condition
Preform repairs on damaged clothing items, mending tears, and sewing on buttons as needed
Adhere to strict fitting and scanning schedules, and planning for back up contingencies
Requirements and Skills:
Experience as a wardrobe stylist/supervisor or similar role in production
Knowledge of fabrics, materials, and garment construction
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail oriented with excellent sewing skills
Ability to work under pressure and to a tight deadline while maintain high quality output
Ability to travel locally to procure garments from stores/vendors
