Are you an undergraduate looking for an exciting, challenging and rewarding 12 month internship in the games industry? Then we want to hear from you.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Collaborating on the implementation of game features on the server
- Working within the server team on systems, tools, and workflows to help boost efficiency
- Liaising with the QA department to reproduce, debug, and fix bugs
- Experience collaborating with the client team on game client features, client-server communication, micro-services and network topology
- Undergraduate, studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
- Beneficial skills and experience in the following subjects include the following (note – you are not required to know all of these in advance):
- Data structures and algorithms
- Relational and Non-relational databases
- Object Oriented programming (C++, GO, Java, PHP)
- Understanding web servers (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat)
- Distributed computing
- Client-Server architecture
- Problem solving approach and planning
- QA process / automated testing / test driven development
