Are you a maestro of the written word with a burning love of video games? You’re in luck — we're looking for an experienced Content Manager to remotely join the team at MY.GAMES! The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting entertaining and informative messaging, articles, and guides that will reach millions of players across our vast portfolio of titles, including the upcoming World War 3.
Responsibilities:
Writing, copy-editing, and proofreading articles, video scripts, and messaging across the MY.GAMES portfolio, with a focus on World War 3
Publishing web and video content on our CMS and supported content platforms (including Steam and consoles)
Requesting visual assets to support your work
Generating new ideas for original content to help make your game shine
Shaping and developing the content strategy across a range of several titles to support events, new updates, game content, monetisation beats, and more
Coordinating with different departments to craft accurate, detailed, strong content
Maintaining consistency by following established styles for each game, and adapting the style guide as and when necessary
Staying up to date on industry standards, plus new and emerging content trends
Working cooperatively with key team members and departments, including community, marketing, PR, art and video, production, development, and more
Requirements:
Native-level written English with excellent creative writing skills
An adaptable writing style and the ability to tailor copy to different mediums and platforms, audiences, and purposes
Expertise in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or related courses or professions
A professional attitude with a proven ability to work within a team environment
Exceptional verbal and written communication and organizational skills
Experience with content management systems
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proven ability to work effectively within a cross-departmental team managing content for high traffic websites
Strong industry knowledge and familiarity with PC games, console games, and FPS games
The cherry on top:
Experience working within the game industry, journalism, or in a content or copywriting role
Proficiency with photo and video editing software (Photoshop, Premiere, etc.)
Experience with online-based task tracking systems (e.g. Jira, Trello)
Experience working in multilingual and multicultural environments
Knowledge and experience of MY.GAMES titles, including World War 3
This position is fully remote under a freelance contract for up to 40 hours weekly depending on assigned projects.
