ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
The Manager of Global Sales Operations and Systems (you!) is primarily responsible for the operational and support functions of the global Sales and Sales Enablement teams. This includes managing the processes, systems and tools (like Salesforce, SalesLoft, Operative, MediaRadar, LinkedIn Sales Navigator etc.), intra and cross-team communications, training and team events.This role combines strategic thinking, operational excellence, attention to detail, project management and communication combined with a willingness to roll up one’s sleeves and get things done. The Manager of Global Sales Operations and Systems will bring a creative set of sales, organizational, communication and systems skills to the position with the goal of working cross functionally to ensure our global sales organization runs as smoothly as it can so it can maximize revenue growth. Flexibility and strong critical thinking skills will be essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises the functions of the Sales and Sales Enablement teams, ensuring processes and procedures are working smoothly and goals are being met
- Owns the setup, maintenance, optimization of our global B2B CRM and order management (OMS) systems.Fosters adoption and enhancement of the systems with responsibility for assisting sales teams (and Sales management) with CRM and OMS functionality and reporting.Provides CRM training for Sales and Sales Enablement, globally
- Leads development of sales and sales enablement processes, and then proactively monitors and maintains high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency across the sales team, globally
- Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize initiatives
- Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other analytics essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed
- Coordinates communication across the global sales and sales enablement teams to ensure everyone is informed and feels like they’re part of a fun, successful global organization
- Researches, tests and coordinates the implementation of new sales and sales enablement systems (such as Clearslide, LinkedIn, SellerCrowd, MediaRadar, etc.)
- Acts as primary liaison between Sales and all other departments within the organization
- Owns sales training and onboarding
- Works with marketing on communications, lead generation and campaigns.
- Manages global sales meetings and offsite events
SUCCESSFUL MANAGER OF GLOBAL SALES OPERATIONS & SYSTEMS HAVE:
- BS/BA or equivalent in marketing, advertising, business, or related field. MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, ideally in sales, sales operations, sales management
- Experience and understanding of sales and business development processes, including understanding of forecast and opportunity and activity/productivity management
- Strong project management & collaboration skills
- A highly attentive systems thinker who excels at implementing and maintaining efficient processes
- Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, organizational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can hold a meeting with directors and VPs
- Deep knowledge (3+ years) of CRM (customer relationship management) systems such as Salesforce.com, Netsuite, Hubspot, Boostr and others, and how to leverage them to achieve greater productivity
- Deep knowledge of OMS (order management) systems such as Operative and how to leverage them to ensure that orders are delivered, optimized and billed properly
- Enjoys working cross functionally, across a global organization and organizing complex situations.Enthusiastic, professional and a strong desire to be the creator of an awesome sales culture and a successful sales organization
- Expert in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc.), Slack, JIRA and other productivity, workstream and communication systems
- Knowledge of the sales process is a must; first-hand experience in sales and/or business development a strong plus, but not required
- Experience developing and delivering awesome training content
