The Monumental team is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Animator to join our team.

You will design animation solutions that delight players and execute them at a high level of quality. You will be responsible for a wide variety of animation needs, from motion graphics for video and in-game VFX, to 2-D and 3-D character animation. You will be involved across all stages of development including initial concept, prototyping, and execution.

Responsibilities:

• Develop animations that support both marketing materials and gameplay visuals, implementing and iterating on animation assets in-game.
• Collaborate with design team to create exciting character animation concepts and VFX
• Craft work consistently, ensuring that each animation has the right expression and personality, in order to support the game’s vision and character development.

Requirements:

• 3+ years animation experience in a video game production environment
• Demonstrated experience with console or mobile development
• Extensive portfolio displaying diverse animation and artistic skills
• Thorough understanding of the principles of animation and strong key framed animation skills
• Extensive knowledge of Maya, After Effects, Spine and Unity
• Ability to think outside the box
• Artistic skills in storyboarding, previs, figure study, gesture drawing, illustration and painting
• Must have a robust portfolio of high-quality hand-keyed animation work in a variety of styles
• Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and creativity in developing animation to support art direction and theme
