The Job

Join the Wonder Woman team and help bring an iconic DC Super Hero to life!

Combat and movement are at the core of our Wonder Woman experience, and the Associate Combat Systems Designer will help us deliver on that core experience. The Associate Combat Designer is responsible for creating compelling combat mechanics and controls. They work closely with the Lead Combat Designer and other designers, along with multi-disciplinary feature teams, to develop a fun, balanced, free-flowing combat experience and compelling gameplay for Wonder Woman.

The Daily

  • Work with the combat design team and design leadership to design, implement, and polish compelling combat experiences that fit the game’s vision
  • Implement all intended gameplay utilizing proprietary and 3rd party tools
  • Clearly document and communicate all work and ideas
  • Prototype, Iterate, tune, and balance the combat experience
  • Collaborate with world designers, content designers, and artists to build combat spaces for the player and AI to engage in

The Essentials

  • BS degree in game design or equivalent work experience
  • Combat design experience
  • Familiar with editors and scripting languages
  • Knowledge of game production pipeline and 3D game engines
  • Strong knowledge of game design principles
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

The Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of 3D open-world games
  • Knowledge of free-flow combat systems
  • Familiarity with the Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War games
  • Familiarity with Wonder Woman
