Position Summary

Senior Product Manager will conceive of and manage in-game LiveOps Events, A/B tests and other consumer-facing initiatives aimed at improving players retention, monetization and engagement on our Mobile Games. Senior Product Manager will collaborate with Marketing, Monetization and other Key Stakeholders to develop, drive and execute new strategies to ensure the growth of the games and the overall bottom line via AB tests and LiveOps implementations. Senior Product Manager will work closely with the Lead Product Manager, Director of Product, VP of Games and other Key Stakeholders to understand and deliver against the budget and targets

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, analyze, document and iterate on A/B test, LiveOps events and Lifecycle flow that drive increased players engagement, retention and monetization
  • Work with Game Designers, Producers & Product Owner (throughout the life of the game) to help shape the product vision (including the monetization strategy, feature sets, in-game products, purchasing drivers, pricing, and most importantly, success metrics)
  • Work with the Product Owner and collaborate with other Product Managers and Team Members on analyzing competitive landscape and become the team’s expert on industry trends (both within genre and outside genre, new free-to-play monetization tactics, and innovative noteworthy play patterns)
  • Work with the Central Data Team to leverage business intelligence, user analytics, and quantitative analysis to monitor game health performance and identify and prioritize A/B test, LiveOps events and Lifecycle flows that will increase monetization via improved conversion and retention
  • Reviews KPI dashboards daily
  • Investigates KPI results. Demonstrates deep intellectual curiosity. Develops hypotheses based on intimate game knowledge, observed data, consumer reviews/feedback, CS tickets, etc.
  • Proposes AB, LiveOps events and Lifecycle optimizations tests based on this analysis and hypotheses.
  • Drives prioritization of AB, LiveOps events and Lifecycle flows tests along with new feature ideas, content updates, bugfixes, etc.
  • Contributes to the planning and execution of the product roadmap
  • Works with BI team to develop/improve dashboards when KPIs are missing or inaccurate
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of LiveOps tools like Leanplum to facilitate events, customer segmentation, cohort analysis, etc
  • Drives relentlessly to improve KPIs to deliver more revenue to the company
  • Creates and distributes KPI reports on a regular basis
  • Works closely with other leaders and team members to prioritize tasks
  • Communicates clearly verbally and in writing
  • Delivers effective presentations on product KPIs, strategy, and plans

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years hands-on production experience in Project Management, Product Management, Marketing or Data Analysis (mobile, online, or console)
  • Highly analytical with strong organizational skills
  • Extensive Game Development experience (Online, Console or Mobile)
  • Excellent understanding of game KPIs/metrics and the ability to confidently translate business intelligence into compelling and actionable recommendations
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the free-to-play business model and landscape
  • Strong relationship and influencing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and logistics efficiently and effectively
  • Extensive game design and/or product management knowledge
  • Excellent understanding of the mobile game market (platforms & trends)
  • Excellent understanding of different business models in mobile games today
  • Personal experience playing mobile games
  • Strong experience with live support/operations for games (mobile or online)
  • Must be able to work well with others and to effectively manage others for execution results
  • Ability to work independently, to meet tight deadlines under pressure and to handle multiple duties at once while staying organized
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Economics, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Advanced business degree (MBA, MS Business Analytics, MS Computational Marketing, etc.) a plus
  • Experience with app development required
  • Excellent project management skills
