The PR & Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in telling Mistplay’s story as the company continues to grow. The position’s primary objective is to build out and manage a robust communications strategy that raises awareness of Mistplay Inc. among industry partners, future job candidates, and our local community through innovative initiatives.

You will report to the Director of Marketing and collaborate closely with the marketing department, HR/Talent team, and other stakeholders to align on key beats and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to build Mistplay’s corporate reputation locally and nationally.
  • Organize local events, digital activities, or other initiatives to drive company awareness within the tech industry.
  • Coordinate closely with the HR/Talent team to further promote Mistplay’s culture, career opportunities, and latest announcements.
  • Define goals & KPIs for each PR initiative, then track and report on the performance.
  • Create marketing material & press documents in collaboration with the Design team.
  • Foster strong relationships with the media, influential figures, and potential agencies.
  • Conduct industry research to identify the latest PR trends and new opportunities to improve Mistplay’s exposure.
  • Oversee additional PR, communications, and marketing tasks to promote Mistplay and its products on a global scale (B2B and B2C).

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in public relations or a related field
  • Proven track record creating and executing successful PR campaigns
  • Expertise as it relates to local (Montreal) and national media
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in English and French
  • Experience planning and organizing events
  • Enthusiastic with a passion for excellence, creativity, leadership and problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain impactful relationships with key media and internal/external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the global tech industry, mobile advertising, or gaming is a plus.
