Miniclip is looking for an experienced Unity Software Engineer to hire in our Lisbon (Portugal) Games Development Studio.

This is an exciting opportunity to integrate the agile, highly effective, and skilled Automation & Client Pipeline team, part of the Client Technology team. As a Software Engineer in Test, you'll help grow our test automation framework and ecosystem across the entire Client Team. Your work will have a noticeable impact on other teams and on how our games (played by tens of millions of users) are tested. In addition to the requirements below, successful candidates will noticeably be quality-oriented, defending high-quality software and strong engineering principles.

DUTIES

Your work will include:

  • Extend the test automation framework capabilities, developing in-house tools to facilitate game development.
  • Close collaboration with the Quality Assurance and Product teams, as primary clients for the teams' tools.
  • Defining and implementing mechanisms to shift-left testing in the software development process.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Client Technology team, pushing for quality standards, maintainability, testability and code health.
  • Contribute in how to best shape the future of our technology and automated testing ecosystem.
  • Analyze complex software systems and collaborate with others to improve the overall design.
  • Mentoring junior roles on good Unity development practices

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a social, hard-working person who enjoys working in a team with other people and is passionate and dedicated about his/her work.

The ideal candidate must present the following:

  • 4+ years of professional Unity development OR 2 years of Unity development + 4 years of C++/C#
  • Experience developing tools for Unity Editor and/or experience with Unity Test Runner
  • Experience in mobile (iOS and/or Android) development.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance contexts.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, preferably).
  • Ability to write optimised code or adapt existing code to match each platform's necessities.
  • Ability to work in a codebase maintained by multiple people
  • Very good written and spoken English

The following skills are desirable but not essential (if you have them, don’t forget to mention them):

  • Experience in game development
  • Experience with TDD
  • Experience with AWS
