Miniclip has grown substantially over the last few years; not just in terms of revenues and headcount, but also in complexity as the company has combined organic growth with M&A activity. To support our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking for a motivated Finance Operations Manager with enthusiasm to manage our AP/AR and banking processes.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting & Compliance, the candidate will take ownership of the AP/AR and banking processes in a growing Shared Services centre based in Portugal currently serving Miniclip Studios based in the UK, Portugal and Italy, with potential to incorporate additional countries. They will also take on responsibility for integration of newly acquired studios, where required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Strong team manager with experience and interest in financial process within an international fast-growing environment
  • Excellent with systems and developing automation and efficiency in process
  • Strong communicator and able to work with different time zones and cultures
  • Understands the impact an operating model will have on reporting
  • Able to balance a partnering approach with a firm stance on ethics, compliance, GAAP, etc
  • Can identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve internal processes
  • Able to work efficiently to tight month end deadlines

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of AP/AR and banking transactional processes with shared service centre
  • Closes AP/AR and banking ledgers efficiently and accurately
  • Responsibility to develop, document and establish best in class financial process across the group
  • Assist the Head of A&C in developing controls within the growing group to incorporate acquired studios
  • Assist the Accounting and Compliance Manager in fulfilling year end audit requests
  • Manage a team of four directs
  • Responsible for controlling banking access rights
  • Establish strong working relationships with key external contacts
  • Partner with leaders on problem solving and issue resolution
  • Assist on integration plans for newly acquired studios – where applicable
  • Production and analysis of aged debtor and creditor reports
  • Responsible for cashflow forecast information from relevant studios

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years of Experience managing a shared service centre
  • Developing best in class processes and controls
  • Ability to coach and train more junior staff to develop the teams skillset
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365
