THE POSITION

Miniclip is looking for Accounts Payable Clerk to assist our shared services finance department in Lisbon (PT) Office, which provide services to the various Miniclip offices. This is a temporary and full-time position, reporting to the Head of Operations and Internal Controls. Please apply only if you have the right to work in Portugal.

The ideal candidate will be someone comfortable working without direct supervision with experience in working with teams based in different countries.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage incoming invoices or similar documents processing, incl. posting in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with company policies and local standards/regulations, especially VAT and withholding tax
  • Manage expense claims (business travel and other expenses) processing, incl. posting and checking of internal guidelines and procedures
  • Perform regular AP reconciliations and control aged creditors
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries, incl. monitoring AP inbox
  • Manage credit card expenses incl. posting
  • Assist in the monthly payment run
  • Complete period end closing activities for accounts payable
  • Other standard GL journal entries as required.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, specifically accounts payable
  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • Deep and broad understanding of accounts payable incl. VAT regulations
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset, comfortable in dealing with all levels of the organization
  • Team player, results and quality oriented
  • Experience in a share service environment (preferential)
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken (mandatory)
  • Solid MS Office knowledge (word, excel and outlook)
  • Experience with SAGE 300 and Microsoft 365 is a plus
