In this role you will

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and design teams to build environments to capture the desired pacing
  • Work with engineering to push your sectors to the limit and negotiate with other teams for the best experience
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on whiteboxed levels with the input of the team and Midnight Society players
  • Be involved in the environment art and dressing of your section of the map(s) and be the visionary for your areas
  • Work closely with other level designers and the greater team to seamlessly integrate your areas with existing map designs

The ideal candidate will posses

  • Experience building in-engine
  • A deep understanding of shooter map design
  • The ability to debate your favorite map in your favorite shooter and what makes it great
  • Ability to think about level design as a cohesive and continuous design rather than a self contained level
    • "How does this environment feel as an extension of the areas around it?"
  • A desire to rapidly prototype and iterate with both internal and public feedback from early stages (finished whitebox)
