The Gaming Developer Experiences (GDX) Inner Loop team is looking for great engineers to help make game developers more successful. To push ever higher with great interactive content, today’s game studios need a rich and flexible set of tools that give them full control over their game production pipeline. The GDX Developer Tools team is responsible for ensuring our game creator customers have those tools to build, measure and perfect their games.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who shares our passion for enabling developers to build amazing games for Xbox, Windows PC, and xCloud. The ideal candidate is also passionate for code quality and reliability, for customers and experiences, and for creating the best team and workplace possible. We work closely with industry leaders across hardware, software and services, and with game studios and middleware providers both internal and external. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with multiple teams across Gaming and Microsoft
  • Work with and support game studio developers to understand and improve their workflows
  • Design, build, test, and ship key features of game development tools
  • Help us take game-focused developer tools to the next level
  • Be an active participant in a community of creativity, inclusion and respect, where your diverse perspective helps drive our business

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Experience programming in C/C++ or C#
  • Experience with XAML, WPF, or other UX frameworks a plus, but not required
