The Social Engagement and Community Relations Specialist is an exceptionally creative thinker who is primarily responsible for engaging with online social media platform and community members. Social networking is to be used as a communication vehicle for marketing to new customers, providing a positive customer experience for current customers, and simultaneously cultivating a healthily engaged community across an ever-growing number of social platforms.

You will assist the Influencer Core Team in managing an effective global influencer program that spans all relevant tiers of influencers, including pro-gamers, Esports talent, reviewers, YouTubers, micro-influencers, community superusers, and social fans. You will also work very closely with the Gaming Marketing Manager to nurture relationships within our gamer community, increase awareness of our brand, and build up our “authority” and authenticity within the gaming segment.

Reporting to the WW Marketing Communications Manager, you will:

  • Monitor English social pages (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube):
    • Follow social conversations and maintain high-engagement levels
    • Observe social universe and implement response guidelines as needed
  • Manage the day-to-day aspects of:
    • Support for English social media accounts and everything involved in posting and engaging with core audiences
    • The College Ambassador Program, including: vetting potential ambassador candidates; relationship building; and ambassador oversight; reporting results/metrics
    • The Global Brand Influencer Programs, including: creating an agreed upon set of deliverables with influencers (content creation, social posts, thought leadership tactics); building positive influencer relationships to ensure reach and engagement goals are met and to encourage product usage/loyalty; track critical metrics against budget spend to evaluate global return on investment; propose and implement improvement plans as needed
    • Engaging and interacting with external community sites (Reddit, Discord, etc)
  • Participate in the Social Content Core Team to assist in the creation of eye-catching social posts (memes, images, gifs, videos, ads) that cover a mix of geek humor, IT knowledge, tech tips, industry news, system builds, gaming events, eSports news, and gaming trends
  • Partner with internal teams to communicate, collaborate, and amplify all gaming marketing activities through community vehicles
  • Coordinate with gaming agencies to synchronize end-to-end promotion of our campaigns, content, launches, and news

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in public relations, communications, marketing, or English
  • An understanding of online “geek” culture and authentic voice, especially as it relates to computers and video games
  • 2+ years’ experience in managing social media platforms for business/brands
  • Strong ability to tell stories that engage, inform, and influence behavior amongst PC DIYers and PC gamers
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Attention to detail, organized, self-motivated, and able to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with a team of social media managers dispersed across the world
  • Ability to work with key partners across different departments, regions, and job roles
  • Knowledge of PC hardware
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to events when required

Preferred:

  • Understanding of Adobe design and video tools
  • Experience with social media publishing tools (i.e.Sprinklr, Hootsuite and BuzzSumo)
  • Community management experience
