As the Marketing Communications Intern for Micron CPG, you will work closely with regional partners and external agencies to support and coordinate communication strategies that build strong brand awareness and customer demand for Crucial and Ballistix products.
You responsibilities will include:
You will cross over three major communications functions, including:
Public Relations (Reporting and Evaluation):
- Upload all monthly regional reports to Tableau
- You will have the opportunity to share monthly progress with the regional PR teams (goals to actuals)
- Pull regional and/or global coverage reports and awards by product (as needed)
- Evaluate quality of coverage by assessing coverage scores
Social Media (Engagement and Coordination):
- You will be the lead of conversations and maintain high-engagement levels on our English social pages, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Craft eye-catching social media posts (memes, images, gifs, videos, ads) that cover a mix of geek humor, IT knowledge, tech tips, industry news, system builds, gaming events, and eSports news
- Post regularly to English platforms while you engage with the community in a personal and authentic manner
- Respond to English questions, posts, and direct messages on our various platforms in a timely manner
- You will connect with key influencers (gamers, system, modders, local LAN owners, other hardware manufacturers) to form partnerships that aid in and develop cross-promotional marketing initiatives
- Ship out branded materials and products to social fans
- Support the global social media check-in call by pulling together all metrics and updating the slide deck accordingly
Community Management (Engagement and Coordination)
- Support the day to day operations of the Ballistix Brawl, including caster and player relations, to ensure that broadcasts happen with no delays or issues
- Work in close collaboration with Product Development, Brand, PR, Social and Influencer marketing leads to ensure coordination in our marketing activities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships within the player communities online
- Compile and put all metric reporting into usable and presentable formats
- Run and support our community Discord
- Coordinate give-aways to ensure maximum impact
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Deep understanding of the marketing communications mix with particular emphasis on organic and earned media tactics and vehicles
- Understanding and real passion for technology, PC hardware, and gaming
- You have a high attention to detail, are organized, ambitious, and able to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to work with leaders across different departments, regions, and job roles and excitement to work among diverse teams
Education:
- You are pursuing a Bachelors degree in Marketing or Marketing Communications
- You do not graduate prior to September 1, 2019.
