At MegaZebra we have successfully crafted category-leading games for more than 10 years. We develop our own original titles, and develop games based on “Hollywood”-IP such as Desperate Housewives - The Game. By combining technology, game-design, art, analytics, and bringing together passionate people from around the globe we have repeatedly been able to produce hit games. We are based in Munich/Germany and Montréal/Canada, but right now, we all work remotely.

We develop all our games in small and vibrant teams. Each team has a high degree of responsibility and creative freedom for their game and is committed to creating something outstanding. Joining our team remotely, we are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage cloud and on-premise server infrastructure
  • Application monitoring
  • Optimizations and performance improvements
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines
  • Support the teams with ops related topics
  • Design and evaluate high scale systems architectures

YOUR PROFILE

  • Strong technical background in computer science, educated to at least degree level or with equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience as DevOps
  • Hands-on experience with automation and DevOps tools like Chef and Puppet
  • Work experience with IAAS (AWS preferred)
  • Strong experience in installing and managing CI/CD systems, such as Jenkins
  • Experience in deploying and managing source control tools, preferably Git
  • Experience managing high load applications
  • Experience in supporting web based internal applications hosted in Apache Web Servers
  • Experience with Docker and Docker Orchestration (e.g Kubernetes)
  • Solid relational database knowledge and significant experience with large MySQL databases
  • Experience in managing Cassandra database is plus
  • Experience in scripting languages - PHP, Groovy, Shell
  • Linux system administration proficiency
  • Experience building or managing a cloud agnostic infrastructure is a plus
  • Good communication skills
  • English fluency
