Your Skills:
Extensive experience as a seasoned VFX Artist contributing to all phases of game production on a AAA title
Experience creating advanced real-time visual effects in Maya through use of particles, static and animated textures, lights, post processing, materials, meshes, and shaders
Experience developing visual language across an ecosystem of effects
Experience with in engine lighting, post effects, and physically based shading models
Experience with physics-based animation, impact interactions, destruction, and water
Expert experience creating 3D assets, materials, and hand painted textures in other packages (e.g. Photoshop, After Effects)
Excellent technical comprehension in relation to visual scripting environments such as Unreal Engine’s Niagara & Blueprints, Unity's VFX Graph
Experience using GPU profiling tools such as PIX or GPAD
Excellent working knowledge of creating shaders within a Unity or Unreal shader graph
Experience with Maya Bifrost, and FumeFX
Effective decision making defining and setting priorities for self or others
Oral and written communication, keeping project stakeholders informed on project status and risks while collaborating with multidisciplinary groups such as: Design, Production, Engineering, Art, Modeling, Animation, and Audio
A mindset that focuses on quality, collaboration, innovation, and accountability
Your Key Responsibilities:
Creating stylized interpretations of real-world visual effects within the confines of real-time engine memory and performance constraints
Collaborating with VFX, Direction, and other cross-discipline partners to achieve the project's aesthetic vision
Owning the design and technical implementation of VFX from ideation through the testing and bug fixing
Contributing creative solutions to technical challenges
Inspiring others through knowledge sharing and documentation
Tracking and oversight of VFX asset hook up
Estimating content to ensure VFX is able to meet production deadlines
Extras:
Experience with cloth & hair sim
Experience with Houdini and Substance Painter
Proficient in scripting/programming languages such as (Python, MEL, C#, C++)
