If this is the right environment for you, we are currently searching for a Staff Accountant.
The Staff Accountant will be part of the Finance team responsible for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable and supporting the Director of Accounting and Finance in any necessary financial capacities.
This position is full time with the flexible option to work out of the Maximum Games office in Elk Grove, CA, with the possibility offered to work from home 1 to 4 days/week.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and ensure invoices are coded with correct GL codes
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolve invoice discrepancies
- Process and post AR remittances
- Monitor AR and collect receivables in a timely manner, coordinating with sales team where required
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Reconcile corporate credit card accounts
- Calculation and preparation of royalty reports
- Prepare and book journal entries for fixed assets and month end accruals
- Assist with monthly internal financial statement production
- Assist with the annual audit review
- Assist in the implementation of new systems
- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting, as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related discipline
- 5-10 years of professional accounting experience
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledge of AP, AR, and GL accounting
- Proficiency with Mac and MS Office including excellent Excel skills
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
