Snowdrop is a powerful game engine that enables Ubisoft content creators to set their creative minds free. As a Verification Engineer you will be part of a newly created Snowdrop Usability and Testing team, working with the tech teams on state-of-the-art game engine technology and R&D, supporting Snowdrop™ to take our games to the next level. As our Verification Engineer you will focus on test and automation and take ownership of how we test Snowdrop.

Your first task will be to evaluate and analyze the engine and come back with improvement options.  You will identify and implement tools and technologies needed to ensure that deliverables are of the highest quality, define test cases and implement new test processes.  Here you will be our go-to person when it comes to testing. This is a new position within a new team which means you will be part of shaping both the team and position.

What you’ll do

  • Research, development and introduction of new testing tools and techniques wherever possible to improve coverage and efficiency
  • Develop suitable a framework for tests for Snowdrop, which mainly is written in C++
  • Participate in feature planning, acting as the test stakeholder
  • Supporting multiple teams around the world with knowledge and practical help

Besides the above we’re looking for a innovative person aligned with our core values and with the following skills and experience:

  • Good programming skills and proficiency in C++
  • Knowledge within test automation
  • Experience of making unit testing
  • Interest to work with Elasticsearch, Grafana and database systems
