We are looking for a Development Tester to join our team for our in-house developed engine; Snowdrop™. You will be part of a newly created Snowdrop Usability and Testing team, working with the tech teams on state-of-the-art game engine technology and R&D, supporting Snowdrop™ to take our games to the next level. As a Development Tester at Massive, you will work closely with engineers and programmers to evaluate features, ensure non-regression before shipping a feature, aiming to improve the overall quality of developed features and tools. You will be using unit tests and testing the feature in the engine doing their utmost to "break it," making sure that the feature is of high quality before it is sent out to the snowdrop users.

This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working onsite. We kindly ask you to apply with your CV and message the hiring manager/cover letter in English. Applications will be reviewed whilst the job ad is posted. 

Responsibilities 

  • Examining testing results and submit reports to the development teams
  • Working effectively in completing assigned development testing tasks: test plan completion, feedback on features, investigative tasks, live ops checks, ad hoc testing
  • Working closely with assigned game and tools teams to identify areas to test and construct relevant test cases
  • Ensuring all issues are recorded in an efficient, complete, and informative manner
  • Making sure our snowdrop testing documentation is up to date on Confluence

Qualifications

You as a person 

We are looking for a motivated person with a solid technical interest and a committed mindset. You have both a skilled eye for spotting essential details and the patience to find hard-to-find bugs. You are an autonomous person with great communication and collaboration skills. You seek a high pace environment where you can show your ability to produce creative solutions to problems.

Besides the above we are looking for someone aligned with our core values and with the following skills and experience: 

  • Proven professional experience working as a Development Tester in software development
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance concepts, debugging processes, and procedures

It is a plus if you have:  

  • Experience working as a tester in the gaming industry
  • Experience with production toolset, e.g., Perforce and Jira
  • Proficient in at least one scripting languages
