Job Description

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™ is a first person, action-adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment – a Ubisoft studio in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney. Built using the latest iteration of the Snowdrop engine, and developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PC, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora brings to life the alluring world of Pandora with all of its beauty and danger in an immersive, open world experience.

As a Lead Gameplay Programmer, you will encourage the development of key gameplay features with focus on player centric features like character locomotion, camera, controls and combat together with colleagues from code, design, animation, art and more.

  • Lead a team of gameplay programmers
  • Improve the development of key gameplay features with focus on player centric features like character locomotion, camera, controls and combat together with colleagues from code, design, animation, art and more
  • Balance quality and efficiency of your own and your team´s work to reach the best results

Qualifications

You as a person

We are looking for a well-organized senior gameplay programmer who likes to be on top of things and find the success of team very important. You have a passion for coding and enjoy being part of a fun and innovative environment where we make the best games.

You know how to handle different situations, such as salary-review as well as topics like personal and professional development, i.e. through one-on-one talks and performance discussions. You are comfortable with working in an international environment, have efficient communication skills in English, and are aligned with our core values. We would also like to see that you have the following skills and experiences:

  • Several years of gameplay programming including experience with designing, developing and shipping
  • Experience in mentoring other programmers
  • Ability to review and provide feedback to team members regarding their work in a clear and constructive manner
  • Experience in a C++ multithreaded engine, using modern techniques
  • Knowledge in console and online games development
