Mass Virtual is looking for an Augmented Reality (AR) Developer who is passionate about creating next-generation Augmented/Virtual Reality-based training solutions. Candidates must have proven professional programming experience in video games, serious games, simulations, and virtual reality and meet the following Minimum Required Qualifications.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of creating and delivering professional game, training simulation or similar application products.
- Advanced knowledge of the Unity Game Engine and Editor.
- Extensive experience creating Unity-based applications for AR and/or VR platforms.
- Experience designing and developing game editor tools and methods.
- Strong knowledge of Unity game networking paradigms.
- Advanced Unity debugging and optimization experience.
- Advanced C# skills with ability to write performant code.
- Strong understanding of AR/VR UX design principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to deliver in accordance with prescribed deadlines, on time and of high quality.
- Excellent oral and written English language skills.
- Able to self-manage and work in an environment of high autonomy.
- Able to take initiative and pay close attention to detail.
- Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar degree or comparable experience.
- Experience in writing code documentation.
- Experience in Unreal Engine.
- Proficient in 3D mathematics.
- 3D modeling knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of new and existing features of Unity-based VR/AR training application, content editor and tools.
- Work closely with Mass Virtual customers to design and implement new features.
- Adhere to AR/VR industry quality and safety standards.
- Produce code that is clear and structured, that adheres to coding standards, taking into account performance, maintenance and compatibility requirements of Mass Virtual customers.
- Document existing and new features for internal and customer reference.
- Support Mass Virtual customers by identifying and correcting software bugs.
