The Role - Advertising Creative Director
This is an exciting new role here at MAG! We are looking for an experienced Advertising Director who will be responsible for supporting our creative team and shaping how we continue to design high-performing adverts for our games.
You will be an active and hands-on advertising artist, able to define the art vision of our projects and inspire creativity through leading by example. You will be the glue that brings together our creative artists and our user acquisition team to bring about marketing magic!
Responsibilities
- Overseeing a small team of internal and external (agency) creatives, including; graphic and motion artists, illustrators and copywriters.
- Encouraging a creative workflow and clear processes to support the team to develop new and innovative design ideas across all marketing creatives.
- Creating new advertising ideas and leading by example.
- Boosting the teamβs courage to innovate, iterate and test their ideas quickly.
- Working collaboratively with game development teams to ensure marketing materials accurately reflect our games and the target audience.
- Performing market, channel and competitor research to ensure our advertising concepts are always on trend and effective.
- Having a strong understanding of our audience and player motivations in order to target our creatives effectively.
- Encouraging thorough testing to ensure optimal results.
- Working closely with our analytics team to track results and look for opportunities to improve.
- Reporting into the CMO you will also share results to other internal stakeholders here at MAG.
- Managing outsourcing budget and external partners and tools.
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in performance marketing and advertising.
- Experience in working alongside internal and external creative teams.
- You have a strong understanding of the mobile games industry, the games advertising market and what makes an engaging advert for mobile players.
- Experienced in creating high performing video and static ads for mobile and social platforms.
- You are creative and are highly experienced in concept planning, but you are also a strong believer in understanding the science behind your success.
- You are an analytical thinker, data driven and results orientated.
- Ability to write effective creative briefs for commissioning assets and content.
- A strong understanding of digital retail gaming platforms.
- You understand the tools and methods of creating and iterating mobile games ads.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
