Reporting to the Director, Team Operations (EU) and based out of OverActive Media’s Berlin Office, the Team Manager, MAD Lions LEC is an integral member of the MAD Lions staff – helping to ensure all operations of the franchise are in line with OverActive Media’s policies and processes. The successful candidate must be based in Germany or have valid documentation to work in Germany.

We’re looking for:

A Self-Starter – The successful candidate will work very closely with our Director, Team Operations (EU) and Head Coach, MAD Lions, but will also be expected to work autonomously to manage their own projects/time appropriately, in order to meet the fast-paced demands of our business.

A Team Player – Someone who is ready to hit the ground running with a talented and experienced team of professionals, who has the ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism.

An Esports Fan - Esports knowledge and/or being an avid gamer, while not a requirement, is considered to be an asset.

Requirements

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-day duties for this role will include:

Team Operations

  • Lead day to day operations and logistics of the LEC franchise, including but not limited to franchise housing, travel, meals, scheduling, and training camps.
  • Manage player equipment needs to include but not limited to PC’s, peripherals, uniforms, merchandise, and sponsor provided items.
  • Directly responsible for contracted LEC support such as cleaning services, personal trainers etc.,
  • Manage communication channels for our integrated support team to work seamlessly with LEC coaching staff and players.
  • Supporting the team performance unit in executing around topics like nutrition, exercise and sleep.

Team Personnel & Financial Administration

  • Create and adhere to budgets for the LEC franchise in conjunction with the Head Coach and Director, Team Operations (EU).
  • Track and administer payroll, prize money, and performance bonuses for MAD Lions.
  • Ensures timely and accurate monthly financial reporting to Director, Team Operations (EU)
  • Maintain up-to-date player records to include contracts, reports on player behavior, tax/benefit paperwork, etc.

OAM Business & League Administration

  • Keep a pulse on all player social media on a regular basis, to ensure organizational and partnership standards are maintained, flagging any issues/concerns to the OAM marketing team immediately.
  • Coordinate with coaches to manage player responsibilities outside of game.
  • Attend events as a team manager, as needed to support our players and coaches at tournaments, matches & events.
  • Main liaison between the team and the League during the Season and is the first point of contact (POC) for them during the Competitive Season.
  • Long term planning in coordination with the Director, Team Operations (EU) and Team Leadership.

  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the flexibility and experience required to adjust to rapidly changing schedules and shifting priorities.
  • A hands-on problem solver and critical thinker with strong attention to detail
