Own end-to-end thermal design efforts from concept, simulation, and prototyping to validation and production.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (ME, EE, ID, FW, NPI) to ensure robust thermal-mechanical integration.
Conduct thermal simulations (CFD), testing, and validation using tools like ANSYS.
Analyze thermal system performance and propose design optimizations based on experimental data.
Support mechanical design work including 3D modeling, tolerance analysis, and basic structural components to broaden your engineering influence and career growth.
Contribute to thermal and mechanical architecture strategy for future product roadmap.
Work with external suppliers and partners to evaluate components and materials, and drive manufacturing feasibility.
Communicate with cross-functional engineering teams in a multi-site environment.
Work closely with suppliers, design partners, and factories to meet cost, schedule, and customer experience requirements.

5+ years of experience in thermal engineering, especially in consumer electronics or computing devices.
Deep understanding of heat transfer principles and thermal management strategies (e.g., passive & active cooling).
Hands-on experience with simulation software (ANSYS, FloTHERM, or equivalent).
Proven capability to design, execute, and interpret thermal testing experiments.
Basic mechanical design skills (using tools like Creo or SolidWorks), with experience in enclosure or heat sink integration.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in a matrixed product development environment.
Proficiency in thermal analysis, experimental setup, data acquisition, and reporting.
Experience in basic mechanical design and CAD tools (Pro Engineer)
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing for high-power density or compact form-factor systems. (e.g., webcams, security cameras, consumer cameras)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes for thermal and mechanical parts (e.g., extrusion, die casting, sheet metal).
CAD proficiency and basic mechanical system design knowledge.
Prior exposure to mechanical stress/FEA analysis is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering or equivalent
