The Audio Architect Manager is responsible for acoustic engineering development in audio speaker products, collaborating with team members and manufacturing partners to achieve cost, schedule and performance objectives. He is also responsible for managing post-production change requests and sustaining activities for products in the speaker portfolio.

  • Responsible for acoustic design in new audio speaker development and sustaining activities, including Desktop speaker, Soundbar and Bluetooth mobile speaker.
  • Collaborate with internal functional teams and external manufacturing partners in resolving acoustic issues, deliver product with good acoustic and user experience
  • Review product requirement and define acoustic architecture and product specifications
  • Optimize design with the consideration of cost, quality, manufacturability, sustainability and environmental requirement
  • Define AE qualification plan, perform sample testing and trouble-shooting. Work with manufacturing partner to execute, review and approve the qualification

Key Qualifications:

  • For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:
  • Good knowledge in the acoustic system architecture design, acoustic enclosure design and acoustic measurement debugging, driver design and measurement is a plus
  • Experience in acoustic design and testing tools - (Soundcheck, AP and /or Klippel). Knowledge of acoustic modeling software, such as LEAP, FINECone or COMSOL
  • Experience in speaker system audio tuning and evaluation
  • Experience in consumer electronics industry
  • A good team player with strong problem solving, communication and negotiation skills
  • Good command of written & spoken English & Chinese, with proficiency in Mandarin
  • Willing to travel
  • In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:
  • Experience in the development of audio speaker products
  • 8 years+ relevant working experience
  • Exposure in multi-cultural international company

Education:

  • Degree in Acoustic , Electrical & Electronics Engineering or relevant disciplines
