In our next phase, we are building an interactive Content Platform for children, in partnership with Gideon Ventures. There are 74M children in the US and 60M Christian households. While the average child spends 4.5 hours daily in front of a screen, there is hardly any faith-based content in the App Store or Google Play store.

The VP of Product will build and lead a successful product team to deliver Lightside’s Content Platform and the majority of the gaming content.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership experience serving a product team at a technology company
  • A track record of hiring excellent people
  • An eye and evidence of releasing beautiful and fun games with exceptional user experience
  • Demonstration of strong creative decisions, gameplay and art design
  • Demonstrated success with applying process across a large team
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals and innovate in a fast-paced environment, and to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and influencing skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong relationships. Can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at Lightside speed
  • Strong bias toward action.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Product team to build a high-quality platform and games in the agreed-upon timeframe that adheres to Lightside’s core values of Fun, Beauty, Excellence, and Truth
  • Build a strong product team comprised of internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with the end-users to understand their needs and communicate them to the engineering team
  • Work with CEO, Engineering team, and other stakeholders to guide products from conception to launch
  • Work with a cross-functional team of artists and engineers to manage the product roadmap from development to soft launch to launch and into live operations
  • Define, design and manage features and functionality that support the overall strategic vision of the products – maximizing consumer engagement and retention
  • Lead team that creates wireframes, writes specs, A/B test, optimizes feature performance, gathers requirements, and plans product rollout to deliver high-quality games
  • Drive monetization strategy to maximize engagement and revenue

Expected Results

  • Release the Lightside content platform in 24 months with high-quality content that impacts lives with God’s Truth, delivers high consumer enthusiasm and has high economic value on an LTV to CAC ratio basis. Beautiful and fun games are at the core of our strategy.
  • Post-launch: Produce new content, add features to the platform and lead the Product team
