About the Role:

Kotaku is looking for a NYC-based video producer with a passion for games to work in our Manhattan office. The ability to quickly edit and record gameplay is a must, the ability to shoot and a background in production is a plus.

Candidates MUST have:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to edit and produce video with a narrative throughline
  • Ability to record video game gameplay
  • Ability to stream video gameplay and troubleshoot during live streams on platforms like Twitch
  • Ability to collaborate with writers that may have less production knowledge
  • Desire to generate ideas and video concepts, with a proven track record of following through
  • Ability to collaborate with other producers in a cooperative team setting and via internal communication systems like Slack

Candidates should also have:

  • Understanding of different cameras and formats
  • Ability to manage a small set
  • Understand production workflows and processes
  • Ability to work in Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, and streaming software such as OBS
  • Interest in developing an on-camera presence
