Summary:

As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for executing the daily functions as well as urgent priorities with the utmost professionalism and discretion within all HR functions at Kongregate. You will collaborate closely with Operations, the HR Director, and other leadership as you touch all aspects of the life cycle of an employee, and will have exposure and connection to all teams in the organization. You will report to the HR Director and work closely together on a day to day basis. As part of a lean team, and by keeping a pulse on the organization, you will be able to directly shape and make an impact on the quality of life at Kongregate through new initiatives and iteration on past practices. Responsibilities:

  • Help fine-tune and roll out performance reviews processes
  • Understand and assist in maintenance of communication and education of total rewards, including time off policies, benefits packages, bonus program, and other incentives to keep Kongregate competitive relative to market
  • Benefits administration, billing reports, and assist with annual enrollment
  • Assist hiring managers with talent acquisition, including interview scheduling and conducting phone screens. Help establish and maintain standardized best practices across departments and roles
  • Work closely with Operations for smooth and consistent new hire onboarding
  • Research and develop improvements to remote work-life
  • Assist with management support and training
  • Research training opportunities that support diversity and inclusion
  • Offboard employees and COBRA administration
  • Create and regularly send out employee surveys in order to understand gaps to continuously improve life at Kongregate
  • Instill and promote company values and company culture, and ensure Kongregate is a equitable and fair employer
  • Work with HR Director to ensure federal, multi-state and global compliance, including in regards to HIPAA, Privacy, GDPR
  • Help maintain HRIS and other HR systems

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program is required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of HR experience.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws, employment law guidelines & policies and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to develop relationships and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Working knowledge of Paylocity, ADP, or related payroll database preferred.
  • Able to travel by air and/or ground overnight, as necessary.
